Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, August 2014 – Vivitek Corporation, a leading manufacturer of innovative visual presentation products, is pleased to announce the launch of the DX864 and the DW866 projectors. Designed for use in a wide variety of corporate applications, the new models join the versatile range of D860-series multi-purpose projectors. Each of the new models features an embedded media player that is able play Microsoft Office documents, photos, videos and audio files – all without being connected to a PC.
The new models in the D860-series offer a set of features that are designed for multi-purpose use. The DX864 and DW866 deliver 3,500 and 4,000 ANSI Lumens respectively. The DW866 has a native WXGA (1280x800) resolution in comparison to the XGA (1024x768) offered by DX864 model. Both models benefit from a high contrast ratio of 6,000:1 and all images are displayed with sharp, crisp colours thanks to the integrated DLP® and BrilliantColor™ technology from Texas Instruments.
All models in the range can also wirelessly display content from a PC and Mac by connecting a WiFi dongle. Offering all the essential connectivity options, including HDMI, VGA and USB ports, the series also have a built-in 10W loudspeaker for full multimedia enjoyment. The D86x Series projectors have been designed from the inside out to be environmentally friendly. The projectors use 0.5W of power in stand-by mode, efficient long-life lamps with up to 5,000 (Eco mode) hours of use and full compliance with leading certifications such as ROHS, REACH ISO9001 and IS0 14000. Each model features a sealed optical engine to minimise ingress smoke and dust.

The Vivitek D860-series is available immediately through authorized Vivitek dealers and distributors with a three year warranty and one year, or a maximum of 1,000 hours, lamp warranty (whichever comes first).
Recommended list price is Euro 720 for the DX864 and Euro 800 for the DW866, excluding VAT.
